"Stem Bloggers" -- Pushing Hard for Stem Cells!
The bloggers are out in full force, pushing hard for stem cells, and taking this grassroots movement to a whole other level. They are a large part of the reason that StemPAC.com has already become one of the most trafficked pro-stem cell sites on the web (possibly the most trafficked).
Our friends at DemBloggers.com have been great, and that's just the beginning. Here's a few new ones:
- ChrisAbraham.com: Love the blog, think Chris is a hell of a guy (and hella smart), and love the stem cell support most of all
- DavidGelles.com: "Rock the Stem Cell Vote" -- brilliant!
- UsLiberals: Great on the StemPAC launch
- MarthaOConnor.com: One of our earliest advocates.
- DailyKos.com: And of course, a big shout out to Markos for being on our advisory board
And that's just the beginning -- there are tons more bloggers out there, helping us drive up awareness, drive messages to Congress, and make this grassroots movement hum.
If you've got a blog helping promote StemPAC.com and the "pro cures" battle -- please let us know. Better yet -- leave a comment in this thread, and let the WORLD know.

Another one (near and dear to our hearts as well):
Jul 15, 2005 10:45:58 AMI still can't get right person perspective in sentence structure.-(1st, 2nd, 3rd) Guess it'll be a while before I earn my way to an AA degree.

Jul 15, 2005 1:44:22 PMHey, thanks for the shout-out... and for all you guys are doing. I mentioned you at conversationswithfamouswriters.blogspot.com, who will be posting an interview with me later this week.
We just marked one year with Type 1 Diabetes. I hope with stem cell research, we can eventually quit marking these anniversaries. Martha

Jul 15, 2005 9:57:16 PMGreetings from the centrist Republican side of the spectrum ... I try to do a post on stem cells at least once every couple days at Charging RINO. Let's get it done!
Jul 18, 2005 7:06:30 PMWelcome, JBD, it's great to have you here. I know some people would like to view this as a Dem vs Rep issue, but folks like you, Senator Hatch, Specter, Nancy Reagan, etc., etc., etc., show that this is not a partisan issue -- it's a human issue.
You are welcome here, as is the majority (yes, majority) of Republicans who support stem cell research.
Jul 18, 2005 7:15:14 PMI write about stem cells on my Wisconsin political blog almost as much as any other topic. Education is the key. A friend of mine says,"Repetition is the mother of learning," so let's keep on blogging.
Jul 21, 2005 11:49:55 AMSteven Edwards just started a blog http://www.spinalconfusion.blogspot.com, which will focus on the science and politics of finding a cure for spinal cord injury. He has C3 spinal cord injury, and has a lot to gain from stem cell research. But he believes the best approach is to de-polarize the arguments by looking for common ground between the proponents and detractors of embryonic stem cell research.

No such ground. If we can agree that Embryos are Human? No? How about no evidence of medical benefit from Pluripotent cells? Well that we have to agree on, because it is the plain and simple truth.
Jul 25, 2005 11:07:17 AMThanks for linking me, Kristen. :)
moi, if there was a way to obtain cells with the same level of pluripotency as embryonic stem cells without destroying an embryo, would you be offended by research on those cells?
